Seat gel insert
« on: June 21, 2018, 09:02:13 pm »
I bought a second hand lower seat which makes things a little better but on a recent 3 day trip in France I was screaming to get off. With a Luxembourg trip coming up it's either back to standard or re uphoster the low seat. Any recommendations in the south east.

Airhawk Cruiser Medium.

Three puffs (so to speak) and you and your bum will be in heaven, all day, every day for at least 500 miles.

The massage effect as you squirm from side to side has to be experienced to be appreciated; way better than an enthusiastic masseuse on the pillion  ;D

It never slips, has never been tethered in place and when I inadvertently left it on all day while the bike was parked in a major French city it was still there when I got back.

You can do four or two puffs if you want to be adventurous and when you don't need/want it on the seat it deflates in a moment and takes up no room wherever you stash it.

End of advert...

My Cruiser Medium is 15” by 15” but that is flat. I guess if it had three puffs, which I don't have available, it might be 14” by 14”.

In fact I just looked on the label inside and it is indeed 14”x14”.

Mind you, mine is on the Sargent seat which is different in all ways to the stock seat.

Honesty, the things we do for those we love....OK, just stuck it on my stock seat and it fits 'perfectly'.

Go buy one...

OR!

Pay the postage and I'll let you try mine for a while, I'm not riding to Timbuktoo anytime soon.

Actually, come to think of it, that is exactly how I got mine from Timbox...anyone remember him  ;D

How does it stay in place?
I feel my bum could do with a little comfort and the added height

Despite all your pleasurable squirming.

That certain wriggle at the end of a long and tedious day in the saddle, will become a perfectly normal, if somewhat perverted norm from the moment you climb aboard... ;D
