K1200 / K1300 Forum / Weight limit on bmw soft bag rack.
« on: August 20, 2018, 04:37:24 pm »
Does anyone know the max weight the bmw rack can hold. I want to use a the 50litre soft bag instead of panniers and small bag. It won't be rammed full just clothes for 4 days, water proof, spare gloves, puncture repair kit and litre of oil.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Seat gel insert
« on: June 21, 2018, 09:02:13 pm »
I bought a second hand lower seat which makes things a little better but on a recent 3 day trip in France I was screaming to get off. With a Luxembourg trip coming up it's either back to standard or re uphoster the low seat. Any recommendations in the south east.

The Euro K Club Lounge / Nostalgic
« on: October 15, 2017, 04:55:47 pm »
Nostalgia can be a nice when you're at an age when things you had, or coveted as a kid are still around. But when you're behind your brothers newley acquired Suzuki 1975 GT 750 and your bike and visor are coated in 2 stroke oil you realise that if you had rose tinted glasses you wouldn't be able to see a thing

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Ilmberger hugger
« on: August 25, 2017, 07:52:28 pm »
I had my tyre changed to the roadtec 01 on Wed and it is catching on the tyre on the right side worse than it did on the M3.
The hugger was second hand and advertised for k1300s is the any way to tell if it's for the 50 profile tyre.  I can't see a part number. Feeling peed off.

The Euro K Club Lounge / Perks of riding a K1300s,
« on: August 06, 2017, 02:20:19 pm »
Went out this morning with a legal rear tyre, breakfast at the Super Sausage cafe, coffee at the Waterfront at Benson and found an illegal tyre when putting it away😯 . Thought I could get at least another 4 weeks out of it. Might as well price up a pair of 01's.

Bike Cleaning / Vulcanet Water less wipes
« on: August 02, 2017, 05:44:30 pm »
I've seen these at bikes shows and thought an expensive gimmick but being a sucker for gimmicks and an easy life i bought some. Arrived today and and one wipe on half a mildly grubby bike and it now gleams. Not to sure on a grit covered surface.
Works out about 40p/wipe so see how it goes.
It's cheaper from vulcanet direct unless any deals or at shows. www.vulcanetuk.com

The Euro K Club Lounge / Black plastic trim cleaning.
« on: July 25, 2017, 07:08:00 pm »
My son's mt 125 plastic trim had gone dull with cloudy white patches. Nothing seemed to clean it completely until I just tried smooth peanut butter...yes peanut butter.
It was suggested the other day and I assumed he was pulling my pud. Just tried it and it works a treat and YouTube confirms it. So do you have dull black trim, try smooth peanut butter.

Another one for the southern riders. Nice little place and Shoreham has lost non of its post apocalyptic charm. And wemoto is half a mile away if parts are required.
