BMW Alarm Remote x 2
(1/1)
Philip:
Just come across these two alarm remotes from my stolen K1300.
They are marked as Gemel - TXSHS on the back of them.
I don't know if they work with other models, but my bike was fitted with an OEM DWA6 alarm.
The manual says they can be registered to any DWA6 alarm, maximum of 4 remotes to any one alarm.
Batteries are still ok.
Instructions to register additional remotes are here, page 13 - https://www.bmwk.nl/webPaginas/literatuur/origineel_bmw_materaal/pdf/3000_BMW_alarmHandleidingEngelsDWA-6.pdf
£10 each.
Phmode:
It's strange, of all the bikes I've owned, I have always fitted alarms to those that didn't have them as standard and then came the K12 and I think I alarmed it twice and have never bothered on the K13. I mean, who would nick a K13. Oh, sorry!
richtea:
Ditto. I alarmed mine once - 2 mins / 10 metres after buying it. ::)
Had to ask the nice dealer man to disable it for me. It was so annoying I can't quite bring myself to read the manual.
And no-one takes a blind bit of notice of an alarm.
The best deterrent is to park your mud-flecked pride and joy next to a sparkling Fireblade/M1000RR/GS1300.
However, enough whinging - £10 is a very fair price, Philip!
