Has anyone tried these, either on K or another bike? Seems they are available in the right sizes for the K13S and I've seen them fitted to 1290 Super Duke. Does anyone bother with winter tyres?

Gosh it looks much further along the scale than I've seen on our bikes so far. Would be interesting to hear first hand experience of it though for sure. If I was doing the single track days of last year's trip every day I'd be tempted!

With a tread pattern like that rain and/or poor surfaces (a bit like many minor UK roads) may well be it's forte.

Despite helibars I still find my K13 a PITA around town and was looking at putting my old 950sm back on the road for city duty. Find it really skittish on damp roads with the Z8 interacts which even though they are brilliant when fully wet they don't like cold winter mornings. Was looking at mutants as a possible fitment for the SM because of the high silicon content. Not seen many reviews though.
