EMJ Tyres
« on: February 14, 2015, 01:21:07 pm »
For any bikers in the Bristol area i can recommend EMJ Tyres a mobile fitter that comes to you wherever you are and at whatever time you like, sells the tyres at cost to him makes his money on the fitting.Yes you probably can get  the tyres cheaper online but then you still have to get the bike to a tyre fitter who may not be very near he exchanged my hated Metzlers this morning for Pirelli Angel GT's(A spec) at my home, had all the gear necessary to do the job and torqued everything up to BMW specs. Also mentioned some fork corrosion that i will be mentioning to BMW come next service.
Overall a very happy customer.

That's unusual to get a motorcycle mobile tyre fitter.

How much did he charge to fit the tyre and how much did he charge for the tyre?
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

So what was the cost breakdown then, i.e. tyre cost and labour? Also, I can't find EMJ Tyres on the web. Do you have any contact details John ?

We have a couple of mobile bike tyre guys around Newport, I suppose if your more interested in convenience they are good, but £325?, I know Pirelli are expensive, I've just had a pair of Conti Trail Attack 2's fitted to the GS for £180.
Isnt it Ironic, no its a BMW what dya expect.
