a laid up bike..or car..anything vehicular will suffer during a long lay up no matter the conditions, be it metal growing together, tyres degrading, seals hardening..loads of stuff, sometimes you get away with it sometimes not. it wouldn't stop me buying but there is risk there that would affect the price.. for me anyway.

I sure as hell ain’t going to agree with that,I’ve six bikes that reside in a centrally heated carpeted garage, one step away from the living room which is exactly the same temperature, hence the bollockings I get for leaving the door open, on occasion they may suffer from dust but i’ve Bikes that stand for months if not longer and fire up on the button without the slightest problem, but part of such is joy of lithium batteries which is another thread.

The search continues, but I still enjoy the K.  Just a hankering after something different. Saw a lovely Triumph Speedmaster this morning, but it is too low for me.  An Explorer or Trophy might get me interested.

[Speedmaster] Looks lovely, but will ground out on corners very easily, as evidenced by two folk I train who have them. Both touched down for the first time whilst training, so I must be doing something right.  ;D
Avoid unless you just want to just potter around.

I once knew a bloke who had a man bag. Trouble is he was built like a brick man bag house so I had to limit my jibbing.

Speaking of jibing...

Made me smile 😀 the house I live in had a garage away from the house and It ruined two bikes, so in retaliation I knocked the lot down house an all...and started again, the current bikes live the same comfortable life I do, but currently in Devon house hunting and trying to find a large garage with a house on the side is proving to be interesting.
