Five weeks to go chaps, let's hope we don't get locked down again beforehand  :-\

I have made arrangements with Glen to stop off at my house for a comfort break and then continue on a route I have planned.
Let us know if you arrange to meet up and ride in, if our paths cross we could meet up along the way.

Righty-ho!

Following the shake-down run and the realisation that the main reason my brakes were a little 'off' had almost nothing to do with my knackered fingers and wrists and almost certainly everything to do with the pads having 'some*' friction material left on them, I am now fully booked in and jeez, next time, try to find a more expensive hotel than the one in Worthing. I could have bought a place for that price...

Bike booked into Cotswold Motorrad next week for an oil and brake fluid change by which time the old pads will be in the black museum and a lovely new shiny pair, bought two years ago off an ex-member for a not large amount of money will have been slipped into position (with the pistons almost certainly being pushed back...)   ::)

* 'Some' is used to save my embarrassment at having to give the exact measurement  ::)

The Worthing hotel was £62.50 when I booked, prices do shoot up quickly especially on the expensive south coast.

I wasn't prepared to book till I knew I stood half a chance of being able to actually ride the thinfg for four days without a) falling asleep b) falling off or c) grinding to a halt with seized pinkies  8)

Viz Top Tip:
- Book at £125, start a rumour about Worthing having a particularly virulent Covd-19 spike, and then cancel & re-book at the lower price.

Oh, and while we're here, my favourite bona fide Viz Top Tip:
- use onions instead of apples, they're cheaper.

You can't argue with that logic.

More doubts...

Having almost got the wrists and hands ride fit and had the beast serviced I just managed to stab myself in the base of my right thumb with a 10mm chisel; a deep and triangular wound that bled like a stuck pig...obviously  ::)

Just got back from the minor injuries clinic with a couple of sutures and just about to set up the carpet cleaner to mop up the blood stains...

Two weeks to get it healed so I can get my gloves on and more importantly, off again  :)
