Fri, Aug 3 - Sun, Aug 5 at 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Llywel, Brecon LD3 8RG, UK

Never seen it before, but it appears to be a revived from the 50s.
Your nearest race track, Brian!

Clashes with British Superbikes at Thruxton, but maybe some of the TT/Irish specialists might run?

It's a lovely ride there for me, if a little long - a bit more than going to Cadwell. In fact, its a lovely ride from anywhere :-)
Thruxton or Wales? Tricky. Going to have to have a think closer to the day...

123 to Trcastle vs 130 to Cadwell according to Google Maps. That's from Banbury itself, your mileage may vary as they say! But pretty even stevens...

Yes, strangely Google seemed to think Trecastle would take almost an extra hour compared to Cadwell.
A second look suggest maybe only 10-15 mins longer if I put a more honest route in for both - so you're quite right.
About 2h 45m to 3h for both.

Both fine rides. And the Welsh way will be quieter traffic / more open roads beyond Worcester.

...and a stop off at mine on the way over for lunch/overnight stop at my excellent local (immediately over the road) pub and then in convoy over to Trecastle.

And knock about 15-20% off the time cos Google drives at the speed limit everywhere and you (and I) don't  8)

Wish them, our Celtic Cousins all the best with this. We (royal usage) should have our own TT and the perfect place for it would be the Isle of Orkney!

I might just take you up on that, Brain! It's on the calendar.
Just need to see what the lovely weather prophets throw at us nearer the day. We both know Welsh weather rather too well  :(

Yup, that's pretty accurate. I think we had all that - bar the lightning.

(And if we had had the lightning, we could have circumvented your hot start with a 'Back to the Future' style rig.  8))
