Hello , hope everyone is enjoying their TV boxsets , lol, it may well have been asked before, I have a 2005 K1200S, wondered if a center stand from a K1200GT, from a 2006 bike will fit?, thanks in advance

For the K12 there are two versions of the stand, Generation I and Generation II but don't ask me (or BMW) what the difference is apart from the fact that one of the long pivot bolts is 5mm longer than the other in the GenII whereas they are both 40mm in the GenI.

The GenI is for bikes up to VIN K40 ZV 66160 and GenII from 161 onwards. So, something is obviously thicker in the frame...

However, the paperwork from mine says it fits the S and R models only so I'm guessing the GT is a different beast. Caveat emptor and all that...

PS Having re-read the installation instructions (slow day here in Phmode Hovel) it says to install the springs to the stand and stop BEFORE installing the stand to the frame for the Gen II stand but AFTER installation for the Gen I stand. Weird or what...

We can only hope Brian, it's looking more and more likely that the trip that Melanie and I planned for June will be in the UK and possibly Normanton  ;D

I have a new k1300s centre stand here if it is of interest to you.
I got it for my 2015 1300s motorsport and never used it.
I will get a part number from the pack and let you know, you can decide if it will fit.

GT to S or R doesn't fit. The 1300 to 1200 fits perfecrly.

Sorry for the late reply,  just seen your message with regards  your K1300S center stand , can you please give me an idea of the price , and if its has all the fitting with it also cheers in advance .
