Vernon, I would be VERY careful when installing these bungs.

Both sides utilise engine mounting bolts as mounting points and the instructions say to fit the right side first, followed by the left.

The RepROM has VERY specific instructions about the sequence in which the engine to frame mounting bolts MUST be torqued down on the K12/13, and failure to follow these instructions to the letter can result in a bent or cracked frame!

The RepROM instructions say that the left side bolts must be finally torqued FIRST, followed by the right side as the left are clamping the engine directly to the frame whereas the right side have sliding bushes through the frame which are finally held in place with lock/pinch bolts.

I would carefully study the RepROM instructions before removing and refitting ANY engine bolts!

Great advice! I’ll study this carefully!👍

Just a thought, I’m assuming the repROM is the repair manual on dvd...the repair and service data one.

But if he does bite you it'd probably still be a good idea to get a tetanus booster, ok.

You'll have to try harder than that. The comment was aimed at one of our first traitors who jumped ship to from a K to a Duck - Jon (gibbo).

:)  And, I'd probably still be on a K if it wasn't for the sheer fragility of my particular bike. I'd just lost confidence on whether it would get me home or not. However,  that's not to say I might return to the marque in future. Who knows!

Correct me if I'm wrong Brian, but isn't a Duck the nickname for a Ducati whereas a Kwacker is for the Kawasaki?  :) I can see the connection though.

Jon

I think Duke for a Ducati if one is being complimentary Jon.

Kwacker for a Kawasaki likewise  ;D

I stand corrected Brian. A duke it is then.  ;)  Rather call it a duck though.

No, No, KTM do a Duke. All Ducati bikes are ducks from now on in my mind anyway.  :)
