There's no 'real-world' difference in performance between the S and the GT. I've been embarrased by a GT before now, even when I thought I was on it. The throttle, not the GT  ::)

Thanks to everyone for their input as I trod the delicate path of early K12 ownership.

I've just taken the missus pillion to Liverpool over a wet and very windy M62 and it's a hugely competent piece of kit. In 850 miles, she's never missed a beat (the K12, not the missus) and makes me smile out of all proportion to the initial outlay. My 2017 XR hasn't left the garage since the K arrived despite costing 3 times as much.

So why the past tense?

I've concluded that if early K12 is great, then late K13 must be even greater.

I can't wait to get my hands on one that I can make my own.

Exciting times...

So, have you actually done the dastardly deed with the K12?

Yup: new home before the end of the month. New baby before Christmas.

I've no cash left now for Lagavulin now so I'll have to make do with Laphroaig :)

Your plot of land on Islay, a square foot for each bottle purchased...

https://www.laphroaig.com/islay/our-plots/

One of my plots is at...

LAT: 55.63253707 LONG: -6.151934169

I'm looking to swap plots of land with others until I have a piece of Islay big enough, in one piece, to have a right old shindig  :D

Ah - all becomes clear!

I'll send you my next one(s) then - they normally feed the recycling.

Obviously, I'd need an invite to the shindig!
