Thanks to everyone for their input as I trod the delicate path of early K12 ownership.
I've just taken the missus pillion to Liverpool over a wet and very windy M62 and it's a hugely competent piece of kit. In 850 miles, she's never missed a beat (the K12, not the missus) and makes me smile out of all proportion to the initial outlay. My 2017 XR hasn't left the garage since the K arrived despite costing 3 times as much.
So why the past tense?
I've concluded that if early K12 is great, then late K13 must be even greater.
I can't wait to get my hands on one that I can make my own.
