Buck to the main issue some pics of the procedures.
The new tool and its parts are visible.
Note that the outside flange is to be removed and replaced too.
Mark the heating device (funny) used to heat the new one just before installation
Let me see can I add one more here now?

Laughable. I use one of those for making the tea in my shed!

BTW, you can add more than one piccie link to a post so that all your photos appear together in one post, rather than in multiple posts.

Brian (who is just glad that you have found out how to post the piccies)

You are a bad man.
I'm just mastering the post of a photo and you are already pointing me to something new.
One step at a time please.
Anyway that fuc... new tool has very sharp threads, took it in my hands and it cuts like a knife small cut in the right middle (?) finger the outcome.
And for the record it was TomL who wrote clear and understandable instructions on how to post photos. So, Thanks Tom.

Well done Costas. You have excelled yourself.  ;)

I must say, that is a strange contraption to pull off the flange. Can't quite work out why they don't use a straight puller.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

The mechanic said that metals are so tight and a straight puller would need enormus force and easy cause damage to the rotor.
See  I add and a second pic to a previews post by modifying it. Hurey

So proud he gave you a plaudit!

What do you mean by the 'outside flange'?

The outside plastic cover one on photo marked n. The mechanic is removing to replace with a new one. (Gave me the old to keep just in case).

I didn't mean a three legged puller, but a puller which would be in the centre of the plate which is bolted with spacers to the flange and would push against a spacer in the hub, rather than the weird wedge type device shown in the photo.

Maybe someone (man or even a woman) was instructed to find the right tool from the commodity of the office and came up with a huge impressive carton box, a lot of metal parts, paper for the instructions, a tube with grease and so on. Now happy cause could present a huge work load for many departments.
Maybe they even have the right tool elsewhere but that someone had no idea how it looks like. The old tool also worked fine but not familiar with its existence too.
