I don't...
I use the Abus Granit in the garage along with an Oxford Products front disc lock and a whopping great 19mm chain locked to an Anti-Pinch Pin through the hole through the lower frame and the other end locked to another A-PP through the grage wall.
When I travel I store the Granit in a Sport Case and the Disc Lock in its supplied bag tethered to the rear frame. Or I leave the shackle lock at home and take a big chain and lock if travelling with other bikes. The big Granit will also fit in a big tank bag.
I work on the principle that if they want it they are going to have it, along with my garage wall when at home and when away from home I only have to do the equivalent of running faster than you, not the hungry lion, in other words make it more secure than the next bike along.
The big scam in Reading a few years ago was aralditing the lock on your chain. You come home from work on the train, call the breakdown service who tackle the lock and chain and the next morning at the station your bike has no security and they nick it then. One guy spent two days in a sleeping bag under the arches, playing at being homeless, watching his bike until the thieves arrived in a van and then he smashed them with a baseball bat and slashed their tyres all while calling the law.
Neat...
