If anyone wants to host a local ride to show off your favourite local roads, take a look at this thread Click Here and start a new thread in the events section or the Short Notice rides (less than 5 days) section.

Perhaps I've missed this and it's already been done but is a Group MyRouteApp where routes can be shared a good idea? I have one for the Old Gits and it works well as a way of storing shared route files.
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

Matt, both the aerial tours and the visits by car (or sometimes train) have always worked well.

For these trips normally three of us travel together and we each have defined duties to make it all work (i.e. one sorts accommodation, another transport and so on). When we are flying, we usually take it in turns to provide the aircraft and divide flying legs up dependent upon weather forecasts and to cater for any restrictions in force locally in respect of qualification levels.

We've carried out these trips almost annually for some twenty years now, in most cases with the original participants.

"I would be very interested in the short route around the WW1 Battlefields."

flatfour, there is not short route around the WW1 battle fields my grandfather was at Vimy ridge with the Canadians and so I have with the help of his diary visited a good few places.
Just for an idea you start at Lper pass through Arras to Albert and two weeks later you may have seen half of it.
