I think I am following you example Brian, my thumb knuckles are killing me. Ibuprofen gel is easing it a bit. I'll have to cut my riding time down a bit  :-[

Weirdly, and this may change by the hour let alone the day, my hands (fingers and wrists) are in sparkling shape since Thursday and that is after a silly incident with a ladder yesterday...

I actually think that the Wrinklies workout did them good. I'm sure not ride fit and most of us probably weren't (Richard and million mile Martin aside. Oh, and Tom, who seems to have 'been everywhere, man' since Xmas...) so that explains some of the age-related degeneration.

None of this affects the fact that I am now riding a bike which doesn't suit my riding needs... ::)

I'd give it a week, and try a 30-60 min spin out to see if it's as bad it was.
There's no rush to sell anyway - winter's coming.

The problem with a spin out to test it is that only a damn fool would go for an hour's ride in the rush hour and stick to the 30 limit, and that was what was giving me the most grief; too much fine control juggling. Oh, and many miles on the motorway with my hamds doing nothing. Can't win it seems  ::)

We have to be careful Bri. Whilst I approve of a GS or a 1290GT I do not approve of a DCT Honda!

I had a NC700X DCT, sold it for the K1200R. Not looked back. BUT, it was the best commuting bike for riding in London that I have ever had. It was comfortable, easy to ride and reliable.  Cost pennies to run and 8k service intervals.  Boring.

I've had more fun in two weeks on the K1200R than I did in three and a half years on the NC DCT...

Yep, a friend said similar. And by friend I mean colleague. And by similar I mean similar.

Same with a Prius right. Serves a purpose and fun ain't it.
