Radiator on its way back from the repair clean up, he says he pressure tested it to 20PSI without any issues. Sounds positive. Will post pics when it gets here, am also replacing the exhaust headers. Can anyone give me advice how to access the sensor cable under the tank… am hoping not to have to lift the tank off?

Tank off is a doddle and nothing to be afraid of.

Which sensor cable are you talking about?

Two attachments on the exhaust, valve control and what I think is an exhaust gas sensor. Disconnected the valve control, easy enough but the clip for the sensor connection is tricky to get a grip on.

Rad is back from West Midlands Radiators. Clean and holding up to 20PSI - suggests looks are not everything but will see once fitted and operating on the bike.

I'd say they've maximised what they've got to work with - straightened and well cleaned judging by the 'before' and 'after' pics.

Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Is it West Mercia, rather than West Midlands? Just so folks coming here in a year or so know where to go, i.e.:

Yes good catch, it is West Mercia not the other one.
