Looks like a coronary artery blockage. Get 'em off and give them a good clean I'm guessing.

Nice set up. The problem with the Rally is that there is no spare room on the bars and what there is is in the wrong place for a rear brake lever.

There are small serrations on the clip or the plastic reservoir to stop it turning inadvertently in normal use.

If you twist the bottle you can feel and hear the clicks as the serrations move against whatever it is that stops it turning normally. The only way that the thing can turn in the clip is if the top has been butchered on wayyyy too tightly and has twisted the whole shebang as Chris admitted he had done.

One wonders if the dealers just let the apprentice do the job. For those of us who still use the dealers it is yet another thing to check before we blithely ride off into the sunset...  :o

If you are following Noraly then you need a Mosko Mule set up. If not, you don't!

How do you think all the stuff got added to the Rally in the first place  ::)

Whereas too much means your fillings fall out and if you don't have fillings, your teeth fall out  :(

With a squirt of WD on the threads of the shock (which is really the damper) you 'should' be able to turn the spring and adjustable spring seat by a gloved hand. Glad you got it to move either way. Don't forget to tighten the grub screw again...then you put the egg to your mouth...

I have found that some bike tyre fitter/retailers really don't give a stuff about your precious rims. They are just car tyre fitters with side hustle.

Folks like Wheelhouse (in Burmingum) and the original Micheldever (at Micheldever, as opposed to Pro Tyre which are all over the place) are true bike tyre fitters who a) know about bikes, b) know about bike tyres and c) know about fitting b) to a)...Simples!

Once you realise how restrictive the stock silencer is, I can guarantee that you will be putting the lovely, quiet but fruity, GPR back on. It transformed the bike in my honest humble opinion.

Luggage is a purely personal thing, no metrics or facts will change what you need/want. Speak to David about top boxes to see what vitriol can do to overcome emotion...

The AS3 gear lever needs a drill and a bigger bolt. Damned if I could ever get the round tuit to work.

As the old saying goes, once you buy it you can do what the hell you like with it as long as it makes you happy.

Oh, and Salisbury Plain is a huge playground. I suggest you pm #boboneleg on ADV. No, really, he truly does have just one leg and a hollow lump of Aluminum for the gear changer side (I think?).

He lives in Bristol and rides SP long and often.

Wow! Thank god I live in Canada. My rad just gets full of bugsā€¦the hard shelled ones that dent and bend the aluminum fins.

Ouch! I felt that. Having had kamikaze wasps and bees make a bee(wasp?)-line for my hands many times over the years I can tell you the impact is well hard, even through armoured gloves so, god knows what a June bug type thing would do to the finning.

I'm fairly sure that a lot of the muck that gets encrusted in our rads is also the toasted remains of many bugs mixed in with all the other crud.

Welcome to the wonderful world of K ownership.

When I put the brand spanking new radiator on the K12, it was crud-laden after about 250 miles of summer riding. Of course, summer in the UK wasn't all sweetness and light, it was wet and hot/cold by degrees.

From many years K experience, it is wayyyyy more important to look after your radiator than it is to do oil changes, especially with the average annual mileage of the average K. Coming a close second is not letting the exhaust headers rot. Either of these will kill a K long before the normal modern bikes Achilles heel of the ECU going AWOL.

Just sayin'.

As an aside to AirTags etc., at which point in the laundry cycle was the key discovered?

Before the wash began?
During the wash with lots of metallic sounds emanating from the machine?
After the wash ended?
During the ironing process?

You missed out the smell of melting plastic during tumble drying!  ;)

-=Glyn=-

I'm not sure about that, ignition keys might not be indestructible but they have withstood tumble driers before now. Not mine of course... 8)

Careful Chris, you need to specify you want piccies of the bike or else Matt will send you a whole bunch of photos of his cat. And I don't mean catalytic converter.

Phone Micheldever and make em an offer they don't understand. They will normally honour other folks prices as long as they are not just on-line sellers and the Dunlop offer might just have flown by unnoticed.
