Adding fog lights
« on: September 23, 2018, 06:10:25 pm »
Hi all, any tips on the best way to wire my Hella fog lights please?

Cant actually find the wire loom, only wires from the main lights.  And what’s the best way to upload pics here please? Thanks

I used a Fuzeblock on my GT
https://www.fuzeblocks.com/ (Nippy Norman sells them)
tapped into the sidelight wire for the switched live.

As for photos, there are a couple of threads in the How to section.

You might want to shrink the photos a bit.

But bonus points for getting an image into your 4th post without asking how. You've got an 'applaud' from me, straight off.  8)

I do like the fuzeblock, but a bit expensive way to connect wires.

I have decided to get me a fuseblock.  Am I right in thinking I just connect it to the battery and then I can run all or anything i buy via it so everything is in one place?

I noticed you mentioned you still had to tap into your switch live wire?.

Yes and yes the Fuzeblock will come with instructions.
Positaps are the best way to tap into the switched live

+1 for Positaps etc...

Much, much better than Scotch-Loks or doing a 'proper' job with stripping and soldering.

This fuse block is huge.  Can't get it under my seat. Any ideas?

That doesn't look like a Fuzeblock, where did you get it?
The genuine Fuzeblock is available here
https://www.nippynormans.com/f650st-f650cs-f650gs-f650-dakar/fuzeblock-switchable-fuse-panel

Dimensions are in the description.

Sorry I am not familiar with that fuse block. The old saying "buy cheap, buy dear" comes to mind.  ;)
The Ss are notorious for little room under the seat.
