Don't do it.

Buy this...

https://www.homebase.co.uk/rothley-perforated-mesh-stretched-metal-aluminium-silver_p415019

...and fasten to outside of OEM screen with tie wraps or whatever. Total cost about £7 and every bit as effective.

Or, give me £80 for mine and I'll fit the Homebase perforated wotnot. It'll last 10 years which is more than the rad will last even if you keep it clean  ???

Ooooh, I like a bargain (evidently lived in Scotland too long 😁)

So I popped over to see the seller of the anniversary edition at lunch. If only all sellers were like this guy! Absolutely one if the nicest human beings I've ever met! Even let me have a test ride with nothing more than my key to my bike as security!

It worked, as I'm now busy doing "man math prove to myself I can afford it . .  Soon I'll be an official member 😁😁😁😁

Stop doing the maths, it never works! Just buy it and work out how to pay for it while you ride it  8)

I did suggest that you only take it for a test ride if you are in a position to buy it. You was warned.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

So, started the bike and the fan came on within 3 minutes!

Right, clean the bloody rad before the Wrinklies trip. Might as well get shot of the badly fitting Wunderlich guard and fit the Homebase special at the same time...except Homebase have zero stock. Anywhere  >:(

However, Wickes have, as have Screwfix, but about 40p more expensive.

So, off to Wickes tomorrow then.
