Unfortunately the Tuesday rides are for WYAMS members and associates only. At least I think that is the case.
I do organise a few coffee meets on an almost weekly basis unless I have something else on.
I don't always post it up here as the response has been a bit sparse in the past for short notice rides.
The Wrinklies trip is on next week  ;D

Right Kev I stand corrected about the Tuesday ride, my mate John (who is on the committee) tells me it is classed as a social event and as such is open to guests as long as they observe our marshalling system ie: 2nd man drop off.

So let me know when you want to come along, if you need a copy of the marshalling system I can message you the details.

Rae, thanks for coming back to me. Could you PM the details please. Will see if I can make it. If it's beyond my skill levels, maybe I should get myself enrolled on the IAM course first for starters..

Only apply the throttle when you're sure you won't have to take it straight off again ! Keep your head up, look where you want to go observe the limit points. Gently grip the tank with your knees as this helps keep your grip on the bars light and your wrists, arms and shoulders loose.

Been practicing the gripping with knee's and using what's left of my stomach muscles to support my body - your right, takes a whole load of weight of the wrists! Cheers, Kev

It is. According to the power curve graphs, it jumps up just after 6k, and starts to taper after 10k.
But to be honest, you can have plenty of fun below 6k.

Its got that much power you don't really need to look at the revs - the only time I look is to make sure I'm not in too low a gear = too much power.
move off in 1st
nothing in 2nd (OK, occasional pottling in town when cars are reeaaaaally slow)
roundabouts in 3rd
rare frantic overtakes in 4th
30mph in 5th
normal overtakes 5th or 6th
everything else 6th

It doesn't need to be revved. And I am extraordinarily lazy.   :P

There are days when mine rarely gets out of top. I have to give myself a serious talking to on days like that  8) if it happens too often I might consider a twist'n'go...

I am fortunate  insomuch I have two mountain passes that start 10Km from home and an other two one at 30Km and the other at 50Km.
The result is mine gets the beans much more often than if I was on the flat all the time. ;D

Yer banned! And don't bother trying to annoy all us Brit bound Brits with fables about non-existent Alpine passes. I went there once and it is as flat as a pancake.

Don't listen kiddies... ::)

Oh, and I can't wait for the Lincolnshire passes next week  ::)
