2009 K1300S
« on: May 26, 2018, 03:14:09 pm »
Hi there.
Looking at a 2009 1300.
One owner. It has 60,000km. All service records. It has Power Commander 5 with autotune, full Akropovic exhaust with carbon fibre can, Pazzo levers, MRA shield, throttle lock, K&N air filters, 3M film protection. Basically new Michelin Pilot Road 4's. Valves adjusted last year, compression checked at that time(as new) new plugs, brake pads. always full synthetic oil. He is firm on $8000 Canadian. Only issue I have with the bike is it is orange but I'm coming around on that and there is always new paint.

What do you think?

Thanks

Having fitted a Power Commander III to my K12 to fix the rampant fuelling and then discovered the later airbox and ICV mod, I fitted that while the bike was in bits.

The airbox etc fixed the idle.

The PC had no effect whatsoever. I switched it in and out of circuit half a dozen times and tried it with full maps and zero maps. No discernible difference whatsoever.

So, my concern would be why they fitted the PC5 in the first place. Just a thought.

Oh, and the black ones are the fastest  8)

At $1.73 to the £ seems reasonable. I sold my 54k mile 09 for £4100 a few months back... it was the silver grey red black variety... built for stealth rather than speed!
Late emerging biker - took the first bike plunge at 50 with a 12GT : swapped for a 13S 9 months in... then got my mitts on a lovely 2014 13R Dynamic in rrrrrracing rrrrred! Then the COVID came along... so I upped it to France and bought a V85TT... O Sole Mio etc etc!

As Rae stated ORANGE is the perfect color .
Make sure that you have a good knowledge of oil consumption in the bike and maybe consider those the purchase of its a model manufacturered fm Nov 2008 until Jul 2009, if it’s maybe pass.
