After my fun in the Tyrols last year, and Timmelsjoch to do again with more gas in the tank...and after a few months of studying maps and messing about, it would seem things are aligning for next week...a return to Hochalpinestrasse land
Map
2100 miles
10 days
3 days out/ 3 back to CH + 4 days in AT
20 alpine passes
susten, oberalppass, albulapass, timmelsjoch, jaufenpass, brennerpass, Thurn Pass, grossglockner, nockalm, turracher, malta hochalpine, jaufenpass, stelvio, umbrail, forcola, bernina, maloja, splugen, san bernadino, nufenen
Having no motorcycling mates here in la Suisse, this is a solo tour...
Am sharing for future
.gpx
use
3 tours in AT based off
this brochure
(german, that i somehow hacked and translated)

Very jealous, especially as it is raining cats and dogs here in UK and the bike is sitting in a huge puddle of water!

Well..that was a fun tour...and nothing exciting to speak of
. Just lots of nice roads and weather.
I've started adding a few clips, lots more to come over the next few weeks...tested various mounting angles...and external mic placement
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBafkAlsux59gqWaRukcfsBqPaHve11cO
I'm writing up details
elsewhere
for myself really..my real take away was that to become a better rider should take a course on a circuit...something I have never done.

My hole riding world has changed after I took the CSS a few years back.
IMHO we all need to receive at some point a special riding school, this is maybe the only way to take all that a bike has to offer and enjoy it.

....and here we are, almost 3 weeks later and it is still raining cats and dogs and the bike is still sitting in an even bigger and deeper puddle of water
Brian (who has never done circuit work but agrees from seeing those who have, that, like all training, it can improve your riding immeasurably)

Thank goodness for the rain which has made the off road trails far more challenging to ride. At least I can get some good practise in before the BMW Off Road Skills next weekend.

Our off road challenge was rescheduled for first week of October due to elections.
Lucky me, new date set just in time after my return fm vacations in Crete.
