Short answer, nope.
Even the HF filter HF160, which is recommended, means you have to take off the gear lever bracket to change it.
I, on recommendation from my (BMW) mechanic, use the HF 164 which is just short enough to allow you to change it without having the faff.

And I use a strap filter removal tool to loosen and tighten it.

Another option is to put in an OEM BMW car horn in there. That's what's in my bike and is plenty loud enough.

I think its the one mentioned in this thread

Hi Glyn,
you're in luck. I replaced a motobatt recently and haven't gotten round to recycling the old one yet.

I have the two lugs taken off and can send them to you. Just DM me your address.
I have the two bolts that screw into the battery, and the two brass U pieces.

I'll throw them into an envelope as soon as i have your address.

Kit Reviews / Re: Schuberth C3 Pro and SRC System Pro...

Well, I had another look.

The antenna won't pull out by force. I tried but I'd say it's pretty long.
The hard foam didn't give way to a bit of force either, and I don't want to start disassembling it.

I can certainly send you the connector, which appears to have 6 connections on it, if it's any good to you.  I won't be using it.

Another alternative is to find and savage an antenna from an old C3 pro.

There are two vertical channels down the back of the inner hard'ish foam liner which 'could' have been something to do with it...except that my old C3 has identical, perhaps even deeper channels and I am sure they are exhaust channels for the warmed air coming in the front and top and passing over your head to keep you cool.
I just had a look at my C3 pro, as I know it has the antenna built in. I don't use it as I installed a Cardo.
I would have donated it to the cause, but unfortunately it is installed between the outer shell and the hard foam/ABS. The last tail of it comes out and terminates in the connector plug. It isn't removeable.
So my guess is they stopped installing them when they discontinued the comms.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Re: BMW CANBUS Charger - funny issue
« on: April 11, 2023, 08:06:40 pm »
Had a similar problem. Had a Optimate 4   charger working off a SAE plug directly to the battery. I also had a camera connected to the battery, with it's trigger wire connected to the accessory/gps socket by the battery.. This relayed to the camera if the bike was on, and supplied 5v power to the camera.

For sh^ts and giggles, changed the optimate to canbus mode and plugged it into the accessory socket at the gearlever. This also, for some reason, kept power going to the accessory/gps wire and hence the camera never turned off.

Solution, going back to direct connection for the charger.

And i think you might be right, the relay is causing a draw or load which the charger doesn't like.

I'm not sure it matters. It might be illegal to fit non-EU stamped items to a vehicle registered within the EU but the rule doesn't apply to one just visiting from a non-EU country

You're probably correct. I know that roadside noise checks can be set up, so overly loud  is probably more important or more likely to get you in trouble.

I put an EU stamped end can on mine, because it may cause issues, being in the EU, even with insurance claims, and I go to Italy each year (if ever there was a country that didn't give a figs about EU rules,  ;D )

(but don't tell them that I have an AF-xied, which is definitely not road legal  :winkthumbs: )

Just one thing to note, if it is important to you.  These are road legal in the UK (as stated in their ads) , but are not EU stamped, so if you go to Europe, it may cause a problem.

And if it's a Garmin or BMW Navigator, have a look at these guys

Just got my Zumo 395 repaired - the USB socket was damaged. They did a top class job.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Re: Motoscan Options
« on: April 11, 2022, 03:49:32 pm »
I purchased professional initially, but had to upgrade to Ultimate in order to code a new TPMS monitor.  The difference between buying ultimate initially, or upgrading from professional wasn't that much.

I had a look at the website and, as you probably know, it doesn't show ABS cycling specifically.  As Richtea said, give them a shout, they do answer.

Another option, is if you are going for a spin any time soon, like next weekend, I could meet you in Waterford and bring my motoscan to do it on the spot.  Provided it is safe to do so.

Here’s a question I hope someone can answer. Can the throttle stop be disabled through the tuning up programming?

Best regards. Mick

Hi Mick, I have a motoscan, and I haven't seen it mentioned in the menus.  I don't think it is the type of thing that would normally be user-adjustable.

It's a simple procedure to manually disable it, bar the hassle of taking off the fairing and tank.  You can just unscrew it and cable-tie it somewhere, so you can put it back on if you wish.
