Because you can hear the system going through a reset programme, but it always ends up with EWS

Ignition on with r/h switch in normal position: yellow triangle+N+flashing red brake failure+EWS!+fuel gauge+N+clock+mileage
Stop: only N remains on top strip
In normal position can us tries to reset every minute or so.

Again, thank you. Yes, as you say the fact that it stopped suggests ring antenna not the key but for £33 , I thought it would provide me with a backup .
As regards codes, I live in Sutton Coldfield and as bilke is dead it maybe too out of the way.

Just to introduce myself as a new member. I have both a K1300s and a K1600GT. However, for those lazy summer days you will find me on a 1976 R90/6 drifting through the lanes of the Midlands.

I have a 2009 K13 which I have owned since new. On Sunday after covering about 40mls, the bike just died. When trying to restart the EWS message came up , but the nothing happened when I tried the starter switch. The battery was slightly weak and I have replaced it. Still no change. Any thoughts?
