Am still in Leicester.
To sum up the LED 35w two set for 26€ that I bought are proved excellent. They are installed at high beam both and the deference noticed is not much in forward iluminated distance fm the previously filament ones, estimated only a few yards. The big deferance is in the side iluminated area which now is significantly wider than before. Had to adjust a bit lowering high beam by using the plastic adjuster of the head light, for one complete turn to achive the above described result.
The issue arose fm the wrong idea to use a 40W for the main beam . Proved not a wise one since 13 bikes have a diferent canbus than the 12 and the fault came at the display. We took the LED 40W and installed it on 12 bike and had no fault there. Repeated test on 4 other bikes every time the 13 bikes were displaying fault as opposed to 12 bikes Illumination result is great and in the 12 case with no need for any adjustment this time. The distance forward is greater and brighter significantly by more than 20 yards. Side wise estimate about 4 to 5 yards each direction .
Then bought an extra canseler device fm UK that costed more than both the 2 LED set together, but still no luck with it either.
Then installed a 35w led on main beam and vuala no issues. So everything above 35w on 13 bikes is not working as opposed to 12 bikes where all goes up to 50w.
All LED fit in the light compartment with no issues. 35w have also the advantage of the removable case that can assist in installing first main body , secure it with the mettalic spring, exactly as we did with normal bulbs , and then put back case , throw in light compartment cable and canbus resistor, and is good to go.
All LED higher than 35w do not have this removable case, making installation a bit more dificult, still as said above feasible to 12 bikes only.
On my club numbering close to 30 K bikes, we now have, all but 4, are equipped with LED high beam.
HID were removed fm 20 bikes.
LED indicators for front are proved a piece of crap, so must research and reorder fm a diferent supplier.
On the rear ones have fm the day that bought bike a RIZOMA LED set with special resistor for canbus.
Still with MOT here in UK front indicators could be an issue , believe its easier with rear ones.
