Touring windshield for a k1300R
« on: January 09, 2025, 06:58:04 pm »
Hi everyone.
Happy new year to all.
I´m new at this forum, from Spain.
Its my second k1300r (blackmatt) that I use in all conditions all time (20000kms per year).
I´ve seen in a local dealer that exist a touring windshield of touratech manufacturer, a little bit bigger than the originals one.
Somebody has one similar?
Thanks a lot in advance and very pleasure to stay here!

Hi and welcome to the Madhouse that is EuroKClub!

I guess you have a big advantage over the Northern Europeans among us because you get way better riding weather than we do and way better roads in places.

So, over to the 'broken nosed' members for their input... ;D

I bought the high puig windshield and it was ok but looked horrible on this bike. I ended up using a Laminar Lip which used to be out of the US but now is sold in Australia. It looks great attached to the original windshield and diverts the air up.

Went the Puig route which works very well and has done for some years, lost track of how many were bought/fitted and the voice from the back said ‘That’s a no’ and as they were hardly in the expensive region they either went in bin or loft.

Methinks it is about time you had a loft sale Chris. There must be untold treasures up there  :)

Never mind the lofts,I’ve virtually brand new MT10 with a 1000 miles on the clock that my darling wife informed me after one ride on the back even with a custom yamaha seat that was also a no as her days of having her knees up that high were long gone 😂😂😂

Sorry to hear that Chris, perhaps your wife would enjoy a different position… ::)
