K1600GT 2023 Diagnostic ports

I just took the pillion seat off my K16G, (2023, TFT screen version). It's got a 16 pin OBDII connector under the riders seat, but it also has one of the old round 10-pin style ones right at the back, just like on the K13. Maybe that's why the GS-911 can only see some of the modules when it's plugged into the 16 pin socket.

I'm sure the Hex.sa website would have the answer. I can't imagine that you would get more info out of the 'old' socket. But it is BMW we are talking about...

Seems it’s there to electrify the £1000 BMW top box that I don’t have.

That is correct. You have to disconnect it before you can remove the top box.  It facilitates the high level brake light and also the central locking.
