The only thing that came into my head was WHY?   :o
Correct rear brake use is scientifically proven to shorten stopping distances in EVERY road situation.

I particularly like the wrinkled 3-colour Motorsport tape on the wheel.

For some reason they haven't painted the 'Pirelli' on the the wheel in with silver paint. That was my one and only attempt at bling back in the day. I loved it.  :o

But whatever it is, it's not bland.

Wheel not tyre? I just saw this on PH with tyre writing and thought this thread needed something subjectively tasty:

This is more useful, before and after:

The wheel colour makes a massive difference

It's probably fun to ride (in the dry, obvs), but the standard ones have dreadful ground clearance, as my associate proved.
He stayed on though so I guess the pegs articulate.

Your associate is obviously better at cornering than a couple of guys I followed down the A417 today (the wiggly bit from Ledbury down to Gloucester) who somehow managed to ride (very slowly) round all the bends whilst not leaning the bike over one jot. I'm sure I would fall over if I tried that although the last time I rode that slowly was on my test in 1964...

I came back from Aber that way today, was nice day out. Nothing interesting bike wise, except maybe the KTM 125 who pulled out in front of me near Ledbury. His L plates gave him the cloak of invincibility.  Great road from Aberaeron to Lampeter, first time for me, quiet and thoroughly enjoyable. Don’t tell Andy but I was on the GS.

It is a fab road, and just keep going from Lampeter to Llanwrda. We've done that on a Wrinklies halfday run to the coast, from Llanwrtyd.

Far more fun than some of the now-40mph Brecon runs. Just keep an eye out for tractors/combines/nice spiky bail lifters, etc.

Cheers for that, will add to the list. Doing Aberystwyth next week, via the mountain road.  Going on the K with a mate who is taking his annual long ride on his Ducati.

Yay Aberystwyth! Will you stay over and enjoy the brief window before all the lovely students come back? :D

I went there for university but haven't stayed overnight there for well over a decade. I'm hesitant to do so now as everyone will look even younger (I'll feel even older)!

I do love the route from I think Newtown or somewhere across to Aber. There's a lovely sweeper where I used to make the most of my 1.6 306 to get past some traffic. I pretty much learned to drive on Welsh roads. Then moved to London oops.

For clarity, I should add I was in the car otherwise the two eejits (happily sitting in the middle of a gaggle of traffic, you know, cars, tractors, caravans, white vans, trucks) would have been history at the first opportunity but in my defence a) I could never get past the aforementioned traffic and b) I was sniffing fumes as fuel round my way is horrendously expensive.

I'm sure I have seen the nice young man with the cloak of invisibility, if that is not stating the impossible... :)

No stay over, there and back, probably 285 miles round trip over the day. Hop in this good weather holds.
