Unfortunately I'm having to sell my 2007 K1200. The bike is great to drive but now too heavy for me to manoeuvre in and out the garage. The majority of the servicing had been done by the dealer, including the major service at 18,000m. The current MoT was done by Alan Jefferies (now Vertu)
The paddock stands and the paniers are included. The bike has been fitted with helibars and a Zumo sat nav mount if required.
The front forks are suffering from slight corriosion as you can see in the photos.
I have posted one picture and the rest you can see by clicking on the links.
Current mileage  28652m
MoT Expire 2/7/25
Price £4000 ono

I fitted one a few years ago to my K1200. I had it mapped by Paul at DynoBike.
https://dynobike.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home
Ran much smoother and I might have the before and after graphs somewhere. I had a full Akra system at the time. I took the exhaust and the PC off as I was going to sell.
I sold the exhaust but still have the PC
And I still have the bike  :). With a standard exhaust.

I'd be very interested in finding out a little more about the Kern Stabi front paddock stand along with some pictures if possible...thanks.

Does it use rubber bushings to locate in the triangle openings on the front forks?

Does it lift the front wheel and yet still allow the rear wheel to be turned while on the centre stand?

Not sure I would want to support all that weight by jacking underneath the headers but so far the Kern Stabi seems to fit the bill.

Thanks & kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

Spooky…I discovered this very same one earlier this afternoon and decided because it uses bushes to go into those triangular ‘holes’ and also offered a minimum profile and allowed me to take the wheel out that this was ‘The One’  ;)
Good to know there is no duty to pay as that can put the price up considerably.
How do you find it to use?
Thanks & kind regards,
-=Glyn=-
Hi
Sorry not getting back to you sooner..  Her indoors informed me I had to sort out the bathroom plumbing 😂
It’s the only front stand that seems to work. I’ll post some pictures in the next couple of days
Steve.

For Sale / Wanted / K 1200 R Sport for sale
« on: October 17, 2021, 02:22:26 pm »
Hi
I have now decided to sell my K1200. It has to go to make garage space  :)
It will be on eBay shortly, but here first.
The link to the pictures are below, I hope that works  :)
The bike is fitted with a Powerbronze rear hugger, SW-Motech crash bars and rear Alu-Rack. It also has two Evo tank rings.
It will come with the rear paddock stand as shown. It is fitted with the centre stand, and the factory alarm/immobiliser and the usual heated grips with Grip-Puppies, and electronic suspension.
It is currently on sorn so the mileage should stay at 25527m and the MoT expires 27th May 2022. The reg date is Dec 2007.
There are a few paint flaws on the front forks that I've touched in and the rear tyre has flattened off in the centre but is still legal. Whilst I had the bike its been BMW serviced (Allan Jefferies) and previous stamps in the book are BMW.
Price: £3600 ono

Hi,
I’m looking for a K1300GT preferably an EE model.
It doesn’t have to be pristine but as long as it’s got a reasonable service history and been cared for I’m willing to consider.
Please PM me here if anyone can help.
Edit: Or email mscm86565@gmail.com

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Re: Lever Guards
« on: January 29, 2021, 02:52:10 pm »
I only managed two days in 2020. The last time was damp and a few still thought they could beat the lap record.  ::) So a day of low sides for some. I guess the new rules are for insurance?
Racing is something I should have done a long time ago. Now I enjoy the track-day for the fun.
Most companies have made them mandatory for trackdays now. At least we don't have to fit a sharks fin   :)

I wouldn't go on a trackday if other riders came that close to me. That's called 'racing'.  :o
Still need a lever guard though :)
Steve.

K1200 / K1300 Forum / Lever Guards
« on: January 28, 2021, 03:08:40 pm »
Hi,
Can anyone recommend some brake and clutch lever guards that I can use for trackdays? My K1200 Sport has solid,(well capped off), bars. The bolt for the bar end is 8mm which makes it difficult to modify other levers that use a 6mm bolt. The only manufacturer I've found so far is Raximo but at the moment they are not exporting to the UK  :(
