Hotel Oberland Lauterbrunnen is sited in the Swiss Alps in a valley that inspired the Elven city of Rivendell in Lord of the Rings. the views are stunning and I have returned there for almost 30 years. The Hotel is well run by an Ausssie (Mark) and his Local wife (Uli) there is private parking and they are very friendly and helpful (as I found a couple of years ago when I had to rebuild the final drive on my RT in their garage
)
the Hotel is well placed for people wishing to do the passes such as the Grimsel,Furka et al, and although Lauterbrunnen is very small the Towns of Grindlewald and Interlaken are 20 mins away.
