Bonding with the K1

Been using the K1 quite a bit recently …. and I love it. Despite its 30 years of age I find it surprisingly modern riding, comfy, good brakes, good handling with a surprising turn of speed.
I find the 16 v engine needs more revs than the old 8 valve motor to get it in the flow but once she does it's easy to find it flowing to silly speeds
Went up the Horseshoe Pass the other day and there was a guy taking pics of the bikes. Found him on Facebook and he very generously gifted me the pics he'd taken

That was the first BMW I didn't dislike. It looked like it might actually work!
And (subliminally) probably the reason I bothered to try a K1300.
Nice photos - say thanks from us to the snapper, and give him a link to the page. He might find it useful if he's trying to make a living.

Got to agree with richtea, probably the start of the new BMW era. The first BMW that really caught my eye, and one of the last that tried to keep to 100hp.
Never riden one, but it looks a lot of fun.
