Bike Five: R1250GS

Belatedly yeah I owned this from about March 2020 until today, 13th November 2021. Part-exed bike Four Point Five, an S1000RR for it as it would be more suitable for commute and long distance.

Then the pandemic stopped both. Anyway, it was very comfortable, and after adding bar risers... very comfortable. I'd only ridden the 1200 in R Nine T form so can't speak to the revelations that R1200GS owners may have noticed. In any case I'd regularly be WOT doing 3rd gear overtakes. The main negative I found was the noise being poop. I enjoyed the roar the K could make - even with non idiot exhaust - in all situations. The GS couldn't. I very much enjoyed 240 miles from a tank, when trying, though!

I do expect I'll be back on a GS in fifteen to twenty years though. Or ten. Or five.
