Interesting, non-specific-bike related post!
In 2013, en-route to Costas City in Costas Land, and whilst idling away an otherwise lovely sunny afternoon marshalling traffic around the aftermath of an apocolyptic coming together of a K1300S and a 1200GS(!), I had the opportunity to observe countless bikes negotiate the almost-on-a-K12/13-impossible hairpin right.
Coaches came out on top for ease of negotiating the bend; don't look, don't stop and don't don't give way. Easy!
Next came the rather ancient rally cars, Escort MkI and II and Lancias; full throttle, full brakes, full handbrake and full lock, full throttle, repeat in 200m, job done!
Strangely, next up came the ubiquitous Harleys, long wheel-base and limited lock, but weirdly easy to tip around the 180 deg bend!
To my enormous pleasure, the next most interesting sight was that of an 1150 or 1200GS, fully luggaged up and with him and Herr in matching cow hide or Nylon hustling through as though the bend wasn't even there. No great swivelling of the head, little fuss or throttle, no showing off and just simple ergonomics!
Magic!
