K1200LT bodywork removal?
« on: March 22, 2015, 08:31:58 am »
Anyone on here ever taken their own plastic bits off? I haven't a clue where to start.
Are there any step by step guides anywhere?
Mine's a 2004 "facelift" model I believe it's called.

Many thanks,

Phil

That is helpful, thank you. Do any diagrams exist that point you the location of the fixings at all?

Only the relevant cd-rom or the ETK program can help with diagrams at list from what I know.
I do not possess the relevant info for your bike. All I did was go to ETK (BMW spare parts program) read the diagrams there and post you the info found, wish I could do better.

Put it in the Google drive and drop a link into a post!

They have different names so I suspect different sources. Didn't bother checking the exact content

But - it'll strip down a 12LT

its actually not bad from that point of view - far better than a GT

What I found is the better fuel economy offset the additional times for taking panels off at services, so much so it was cheaper to run than an oilhead
