Old headers
« on: March 31, 2024, 10:17:39 am »
Hello - some may recall the thread last year from me on my noisy bike, I replaced the headers and now have the old set taking up space. Bike is running well, still think it’s “better” than its low mileage sibling that lives beside it in the garage.
Anyhoo, headers need to be gone, was some interest and discussion on the original thread about welding them, or not. May be useful as a a template in case anyone was minded to have some new headers fabricated.
If anyone is interested let me know and we can sort postage or collection. Will hold them for another week before they go to recycling.
John

Hello John,

I did say I'd take them, but I've come over all sensible, and I know I won't get around to doing anything useful with them, so my apologies.  :(
But hopefully someone will take them off you and do something useful with them.

Hello Runnerboy, if you still have them I'll have a go at welding them up, I'm in Worcestershire.

Bagsy when we've all switched to hydrogen and cat powered bikes I get all the headers. I'll make giant metal sculptures from them in a series titled "What of our Fossils Now?"

They'll either be in the shape of dinosaurs or 20th century old blokes. I'll decide just give me time.
