Watcha
« on: March 01, 2015, 04:24:58 pm »
Hi, I'm Dave, don't have a K any more but Rae persuaded me to join so blame him  :-X

I'v been riding for an awful long time and BMW's mainly since 1978. My current bike is a 2009 R1200GS which suits me and my wife Cally. We have toured a lot of Europe from Sicily and Sardinia in the south, Romania in the east, Estonia in the north and a foray into Ireland last year. Since we've been retired our mileage has gone down considerably, I no longer use my bike for work, and Cally is not in the best of health. That being said I do get out as much as I can so you'll likely see me out and about.
Ride safe
Dave

Hi Dave good to have you on the good ship EuroKClub.

Be interesting to hear of your ride through Sardinia and Sicily. I thought that a trip up through Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica would be awesome.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm used to strange people Rae  :-X  Sardinia and Corsica where one trip and Sicily a different one. We are going back to Sicily in May, sadly flying out there and hiring a car. We want to 're-discover' the routes of the Targa Florio and also discover 'Montalbano country'.
Ride safe
Dave
