Just thought I'd throw that one in the mix, since I don't like either  :P :P :P

I'm not a whisky or a whiskey man but the spelling distinguishes between Scotch and Irish.
I'm a G & T man myself.

Well, G&O or G&It in the summer.

But come the winter months, October to May, then it has to be whisk  .

Brian (who never said he liked it, but someone's got to drink the filthy stuff or we'd all be chest high in it by now)

PS Re: the terminology. The idiot who created the board has no idea what the politically correct term is if one wishes to encompass the full spectrum of available fire-waters from Argentinian to Zimbabwean scotch (or Scotch); oops! And it isn't either in most cases!

I thought Bourbon were chocolate biscuits  ;D ;D :-\
I think it's down to the ingredients of the "mash", wheat, rye etc. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination.

Is it just me blowing smoke up my own fundamental orifice, or does it seem like we've never been away?

Brian (who never seemed to have been away anyway, just lonely at times  :'( )

Now then Richtea see what you have started!

I quite like rich tea biscwits as well with a nice cuppa not a malt.

Rae is correct, but with a qualification: it's generally accepted that whiskey can be used to describe the spirit generally, and is the spelling used for Irish, Canadian, American, Japanese and all other whiskies EXCEPT Scotch that is always whisky without the e. However, the important thing is to enjoy it....in  moderation of course!
