Puncture status update!

This morning I left for work and felt a bit odd, probably the home brew stout I thought. Then 50m later the warning light was going and reading 2.4 bar at the back. So I turned round and went back home. It was the same puncture! So I got in't car and went to work to read about home brew.

Just fixed it with another of those amazing puncture thingies Rae put me on to. Took it out and it's sealed up nicely. I've still got loads of wear left on this tyre so cross ALL FINGERS.

The puncture was a bit of a biggy Matt.

Is it OK to re-plug one that's leaked again?
That suggests it may do it yet again - a 3rd time, and that can't be good.

How many miles have passed since the original fix, Matt?

I would put some Puncturesafe in it and be done with it or scrap it and get a new tyre. The repair got you home and then some.

...

I follow Richard : I don't think it's even safe to have a second plug. If that tyre is still good for quite some kilometers, I would only consider to have it fixed from within (the inside) : remove the tyre from the wheel, and a patch from the inside. May cost a little more, may save your life...

Good point - remove, fix from inside and refit is probably around £25-30, if I remember rightly. Only had it done once.
