Good grief, that's grim! I've never had it but I know people who have and, as your doc said, it's important to seek further help if the symptoms persist. I wish you a speedy recovery!

I was surprised that they sent you home. I guess that it will be intravenous antibiotics now to hit the nail on the head.

My mate had pneumonia and it went undetected because he had enough puff for the exhale device that they used. They didn't realise how fit he was and only found that he was down to one lung when he went back a few days later and they did an xray.

What size boots do you wear Steve?   ;)

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

I hope the medicine works for you and saves you a hospital visit.
I went to the Picos with a bladder infection thinking it was clearing up and with a supply of anti biotics. When I got home it transpired the surgery had tried to contact me to say the pills were useless for my infection as it was a pneumonia bug. How the hell does that get to the bladder?
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Thanks guys

I came out of the hospital on the weekend, feeling much better now that I have no fever.

Still feeling incredibly weak and breathless but that'll pass with rest and time I guess.

I'm fighting to get bike fit for the 15 August as I have my Scottish tour booked
