The tail of the forks is thus. The original silver forks on the black FJR were sent off to Darren at MCT for a seal leak. The forks were worn past saving and so new forks were needed. Yamaha had discontinued the 2013 forks but 2018 forks were available and they came in any colour you like as long as they are black. So I imported them from the USA and saved myself about 800 quids.

As already said I prefer the black to the silver they are also easier to touch up if needed.

I had a bit of a fettle today and swapped the forks over. I do prefer the black forks to the silver, the black forks were fitted to 2018 models.

The lighting was not the best.

I have looked on R&G site and all I can find is a section that says ring for spares.

You can buy the crash bung plastic bits separately and just keep the mounting hardware.

Ah, I didn't know that Brian, I'll investigate.

It's a V-Stream screen on the red one I also have the original. I have ordered new crash bungs as the old ones got scuffed. The bugs are on back order so I might transfer the old ones temporarily.

Nice bike shame the previous owner didn't use it, what is it with these guys?
I see it has the race dash, I think the only placed he raced was to the MOT station once a year.

I know I said I would take a look while I was waiting to be fleeced at Motolegends but I wasn't kept waiting more than 2 coffees.

That is a stunning looking bike Rae and knowing how much you love your FJRs I just know that you will love it to bits...and for any naysayers, in the real world the FJR is every bit as capable as the K. On the limit, er, well, but how often do any of us go there?

Next time, just ride as tail end Charlie, way safer imho.
I am thinking of taking your advice about being TEC, that is twice now that one of my mates have run into the back of me  :o ??? ::)
Maybe I should just ride on my own but then you run the risk of being hit in the rear by a stranger. At least if a mate hits you they stand up to be counted. Or at least mine did.
