The Wetherspoons Experience
« on: November 10, 2015, 01:11:46 pm »
Melanie and I have been aware of Wetherspoons hotels for quite some time now, but never used one.
I stayed in my first back in July when I went to Bridgend to pick up the FJR.
The hotels have a different entrance to the pub, so you don't have to walk through the pub to check in.
This weekend we went to Kings Lynn and Shrewsbury and stayed at the Wetherspoons Hotel in both places and I have nothing but praise for both the standard and quality of the rooms and the friendly helpfulness of the staff. The staff at all of the establishments were genuinely friendly, not the normal McDonalds "have a nice day" friendly.
The prices were reasonable we paid £64 for Saturday and £39 for Sunday.

So if you are looking for somewhere to stay, include Wetherspoons in your search, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Cheers Rae Ill keep in mind, my company tends to push us to Travelodge or Premier Inn most of the time and I think they are well over-priced for what you get, whatever Lenny Henry says, 29 a night? Where, when,  normally a 1 in front.

We use Premier Inn quite a lot, Wetherspoons is just another string to the bow.
