Your interest noted.

The guy is specifically looking for input on dimensions. I have pointed him in the direction of the Pyramid Plastics Extenda Fenda which I think gives good coverage.

All ideas welcome at this stage.

Make it so it touches the ground and gets worn away for a custom fit  ;D

I'll explain Brian informs me that in the process the said mudguard is likely to be ruined so as you can imagine mine which is but brand new and wasn't even on the bike when I bought it with 1600 miles on the clock isn't going to be the sacrifice :)

there's some pictures that sombody has mocked up of the r sport with different mudguards fitted on one of the yank sites - I think the sport looks quite nice with the s guard on but not so good with the R guard. the sport guard look is somewhere between the 2.

That's the way my, er, 'handcrafted' carbon extender is going - a little scuffing from the tyre.
But full carbon wouldn't flex so much, as noted somewhere above...

I'll measure mine at the weekend.

If the donor guard is going to get ruined then there is one on e-bay for £29.99 and is open to offers. A bit ropey but it might be good enough for the development process....and a low initial outlay.

Its now £13.99.
Its not always the destination that counts its the ride, having a destination just stops you going round in circles.

Your interest noted Costas!

As I don't know specifically what the 'donor' mudguard is going to be used for, I am keeping out of the sourcing process; I have sent the company a long list of available guards on the net.

Whatever they decide to do, it isn't going to be anytime too soon. They have major new product releases on the go which need all their manufacturing capacity. However, I understand they have development capacity to spare. (I hope I wasn't being led up the garden path with the request for a donor guard which they were going to use to straighten out their twisted mould! I doubt it.)
