Ram ball base mount
« on: March 27, 2018, 02:36:10 pm »
Sorry if already mentioned elsewhere. Could not find specific thread. Can anyone tell me if single ball mount is 1.5 or 1.25 thread pitch(10mm).
Just away to order one up. The Motorsport has helibars so cant use conical mount that went inside bars. Shame as these were great.
Appreciate your helps as always.

I'm pretty sure that both pitch sizes are available.

There have been a number of cases of folks ending up with the wrong thread size for the headstock mount on the K; we had a thread about it yonks ago and I don't know the answer to which size it is but as you say, I'm sure both sizes of RAM mount bolt are available.

I don't know which pitch it has. But are you helped with a detailed picture of my mount's pitch next to a measure (don't know the word in English - probably something like a measurement rod) ? I even have a measure in inches if you want  8)

Ruler?
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

No problems. B&Q handy, will purchase a fine and coarse threaded 10mm bolt and see what fits. Either that or give local deal er a call. Probably the later easier?? ::)

Why do you think a dealer will know a thread size? I'm sure the RepROM would tell us...
