An open ended spanner between the pads works quite well too.

I'm pretty sure that both pitch sizes are available.

I'm on my 2nd pair of BMW ProWinter gloves. Very good for winter use. I had the first pair about 5 years and they were getting tatty. However, I still use them for green lane riding when it's cold. When it's warmer I use Lindstrands, an earlier version of the Aerate. I also use the BMW Rallye Glove.

That said I bout some Gerbing heated gloves last November. They're excellent.

I would consider adding...

People who sit near the steering wheel, unless they have very short arms.
People who drive wearing hoodies, thus obscuring their vision.
People who have a satnav fixed to the windscreen in their direct line of sight.
People who fix sunscreens to the (front) passenger window to keep the sun out of the baby's eyes.

Rant over 😀

I'm all for reassessment at 70. A possible realistic route is through insurance companies. An assessment of driving capability with, for example, a two month "period to improve" if a driver does not meet the required standard. Alternatively being a holder of an advanced qualification which requires updating periodically.
Perhaps also a requirement to show regular eye testing from 50.

I believe local authorities can now set their own limits on "unrestricted" roads. IE If they believe a road should have a 50 mph limit rather than 60 they may do so. I also believe that the maintenance requirements for 50 mph roads is lower than that for 60 mph. If this is the case there would appear to be a conflict of interest.

This got me thinking that once we had little choice.
Here's me 36 years ago when I still had some hair. Just deicing the solid throttle cables so I could ride home.

Oh and last winter when I guess I did have a choice.

Some decent tracks there Paul.

Definitely. I'll be going back.

I'm thinking of swaping my GS for a CCM. Wonder what the new 600 will be like?

I'm happy with the 450 Tom. I guess the 600 will be heavier. I've never felt the need for more power and it does everything I ask of it. It'll sit happily at motorway plus speeds but I rarely do that, not great on tyre wear.
Nice to ride, decent tank range, easy to load up, don't even think about a pillion, make your own mudguard stays.
There's a few well priced 2nd had ones about now too.

Ok, it's not on a K bike but...
Nearly in my third week riding mainly trails in Spain. First 12 days with a mate, now solo. Seven nights based in Oliana which is seriously well blessed with trails. Since then been working our way west on a combination of the trans Pyrenees Vibraction Route 5 and the recently released TET. All excellent and, this being Spain, the in between tarmac bits are sublime too. Anyway, a few pictures to maybe tempt a few of you.

Off there myself on Sunday. Focussing on the Pyrenees and mainly off road. Hence I'll be riding the CCM.

I needed to get the WiFi version for my GS LC so I'm selling my GS911 Bluetooth. It's only been registered in one bike so has "room" for 9 more.
Much more than a service reset tool. List of functions etc can be found here...
