GlynH I saw Sammy Miller at the Pod a couple of times. Just incredible. A great place to get your ears full of the best engine noises by far.

Also the black mudguard? My standard motorsport mudguard is white.

How To - Tech & Forum support / Re: K1300GT Clutch drag

My K hasn't had any clutch parts and it's done 35,000 miles. At what mileage do most clutch problems arrive? 28,000 seems a bit soon to me? Maybe there's an underlying fault?

With mates like yours, may I suggest an additional huge brake light, you know, one of those things that flashes. :)

I must say, even though it isn't a K, it looks like a very nice bike that I wouldn't mind at all. Well done.

Er, no radar cruise. I've had that in a Lexus and find it a bit meh. Useful much of the time but annoying sometimes. F-type is no wafting comfort barge but it isn't as hard a ride as you'd expect, has switchable dynamic damping and not at all severe in normal setting. Loud, very very loud unless cruising with the exhaust valves closed.

🤣 F-type R - for the curious. Third Jag V8 I've owned. Had it for 6 years, same 6 years as my 2nd K1300S. I keep what I like rather than changing for fashion or newness. I'm in my 70s and I reckon I've had fewer cars than most my age - 11 total. Also the only vehicles I've owned with 4 cylinders in line have been bikes.

My car is a real quick one, bikes get in my way of overtakes sometimes. I can almost see the surprised eyes in their helmets when they look in their mirror during a quick overtake and see my car gaining on them. But I do always honour the bikes to do their thing when I'm a car wa ker.

I made a right angle squirty thing to fit my garden hose out of a 15mm copper central heating pipe. Squashed and bent the end. Imperfect jet(s), one good jet plus a weak one going off at an angle. My mains hose is powerful enough, my Nilfisk jet wash would bend the fins.

6' tall, average build. Wrist ache was the main culprit. The superbike bar conversion really is fine, come and see mine if you like.

I fitted helibars but they weren't enough of a lift. So I eventually went for a 'superbike' bar conversion. That did it.

Grip puppies don't melt on the K. Just not as warm on the hands. I've got big hands and need the puppies. One pair of gloves I've got have a divider inside, where I can have less insulation on the palm and more on the back of the hand. Seems to work quite well, but ordinary winter gloves work OK as well, just not as toasty.
