K16GT Akras
« on: September 15, 2017, 05:51:35 pm »
Just been lucky enough to get some BMW Akras for the K16GT Sport. Got them at a reasonable price, rather than the silly BMW Accessory price, so will give them a go. I have always liked the look and they will replace my AC Schnitzers (Remus). I doubt if there is any benefit apart from looks. Not sure what the difference is, but these are Euro3 rather than Euro4? Still no removelable baffle even on these.

A bit ironic that on the stand exhausts only the centre hole out of the three actually does anything, and on the Akras only the top and bottom hole do, the centre one is a dummy.  :o

Time to get the drill and file out methinks.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Looking at terrible sites you're right but it's strange , maybe the 6 cylinder engine is to blame,
