I've got a good route over to the Touchdown Cafe. Will have to head over there again some time soon.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Ah, it's almost home. I rarely go there - probably because it has good basic cafe food, and I don't need that after 12 miles of, er, hard riding.
But it's certainly pleasant to sit out by the runway.

Watched their Vulcan lift it's front wheel in a taxi run a few years ago, though. Now that was definitely fun - not happening this year though, as far as I know.

It is....for those that live too close, stick Shobdon airfield on list, and for when the weather settles down google Hoar Park, it says near Nuneaton, but I reckon it’s closer to Coleshill.

It’s classed as a children’s farm, but on a Wednesday it turns into a bike meet of some proportion...but get there early it can be bonkers, proof of how many old boys out there still riding bikes  ;D

I watched a little documentary about Falklands and the Vulcan the other day, nice little plane! Something like a billion mid air refuel to get down south. Petrol was a lot cheaper then!

And still they were sucking fumes on the way home...'nothing on the clock but the maker's name and the wipers going full blast'. And other tall tales from WWII...

Took a ride over to the Touchdown Cafe today with some mates and very nice it was. Was even too hot with my jacket lining out.

Lasham Airfield this morning for me. Little cafe here with people with funny posh accents. Gliders must be big money! Cafe is flat-roof-pub standard.

Stratford on Avon auto jumble today at the race course, assuming you could handle the traffic queue to get in  ::)
