Akrapovic baffle
« on: September 26, 2021, 05:26:59 pm »
Anyone know where to get a replacement baffle for the akrapovic on a K1300S or the part reference number? Just got the bike, and still loving it, but want to quieten it down a bit as the the un baffled akra is pretty loud (and turns me into a bit of hooligan!  :-[)

Better still if anyone has a spare they want to sell let me know

This has been discussed before, I can't remember the outcome, try a forum search.

Seems to be the V-TUV050. There is also the V-TUV050/3 but not sure if they are the same?

Go to Real OEM and check the part numbers.

I’d try Performance Parts as a first port of call.

OK it's  a deal. I've found it, you'll have to sort out the fixing screw, (there's just a hole in the baffle to take the screw, but it'll stay in without one probably), otherwise it's an OK used item. I'd be interested to know if you feel the performance improves with the baffle in, I think it does. Assuming it's easy for you to transfer the £30 I'll PM to you my bank details, reply with your name and address. Cheers

Payment sent

 :winkthumbs:

Looking for some peace but extra performance would be a plus. Shouldn't it reduce the performance though?

Should be able to find a small screw that will fit although as you say may not need it

Good work both! Nice to see the forum working as intended.

To confirm for anyone else reading this another day - the Akra fitting instructions say plain 'V-TUV050'.
I looked at the V-TUV050/3 and I have to say it looks identical, but for anyone else purchasing, I'd advise getting it on a 'sale or return' basis just in case.

And you do need the screw. I recommend stainless since it will get a fair bit of moisture in its time.

Seconded on the screw requirement, the little dent in my garage back door can attest to that :D.
