The media are still at it, keeping the fuel worries going. Yesterday, Friday, I rode 180 miles through the South West, all garages we passed had fuel, only one seemed busy.

Same here.

Had a mate send me a photo on Sunday parked up Sunday at Crossgates cafe...plenty of fuel

What’s going on now is a south east thing.

THIS REALLY HAPPENED!

A tanker driver has told how he was tailed by about 20 drivers who were dismayed to discover he was not transporting petrol.
Johnny Anderson, who drives for Weaver Haulage, was transporting 44 tonnes of mortar from Bilston, Wolverhampton, to a building site in Northamptonshire.
...
And they give driving licences to these eejits?

I'd always heard bad things about those Wolverhampton types Brian :p.
Linky

I've yet to try a second time here, for fear of getting annoyed.

The media are still at it, keeping the fuel worries going. Yesterday, Friday, I rode 180 miles through the South West, all garages we passed had fuel, only one seemed busy.

BP Garage in Wootton Bassett (Royal, for the use of) had no fuel this morning but there was a cement truck pumping something into their tanks...

The other one (Texaco?) was closed with no fuel...

Shell garage in Shaw was closed for business...

BP pumps at the new M&S services on the A417 near Cricklade has been closed most of the week with no fuel although the shops etc. were open. There was a tanker in there this morning...

You went the wrong way or on the wrong day  8)

It's pretty random - been past one closed, and two open in Banbury. It's whoever received the last tankerful.
Queues seem a bit better than Thursday, i.e. not out onto the road, which is a damned sight safer for all.

Ditto. I've started having a Los Angeles class submarine shadow me just in case I need support.
