Your gearbox was a well-used 15 year old one. That's what!

I think there's no denying KTM have had their fair share of hilarious issues. If BMW and KTM were in a bar they'd have to agree they both have their problems. Otherwise they'd just go on and on and nobody would ever want to drink with them.

Then they'd get the 'vid.

My issue at pointing the finger at other manufacturers...if any of you guys have just bought a K1300s and rolled up here, oblivious to BMW’s behaviour and down right stupidity between September 04 and 09 with their early K models BMW are out there by the proverbial mile when it comes to **** ups, and it took e’m nearly 5 years...to sort it.

Looks like I’m K owner now!

Just got back after a 5hr round trip. HP2 is gone unfortunately but this rides so much nicer for my riding. Certainly shifts!  8)

May need to look at screen extenders and some lower pegs but other than that just need to get used to riding it. Strange that after 5 years of “adventure” bikes i feel like i am back on a proper bike again? No disrespect to adventure bike riders as will no doubt get another at some point.

No sport cases so will find a set of them once i need them. Might get a tail pack or tank bag for now though

Any recommendations for tank bags or tail packs? Would be handy to be able to fit a helmet in the tail pack just to save carrying if i stop on a day out

The left sports case will take most helmets, but a few with fancy sticky out tail venty things won't fit. As I found out.
Sports cases look quite nice to me too, as panniers go. But then again, I have no taste.

Bagster tank cover and two different tank bags depending on trip or day out,BM rear rake and BM also does a 50l bag slips straight on, two loops underneath the bag and a strap either side that clip onto the side rail, have used that combo for years.
